A.C.E., Beer & Politics in the Steel City

March 18th 2003 - NSW Democrat MLC, Dr Arthur Chesterfield-Evans (ACE), will be speaking at Politics in the Pub, Hamilton Station Hotel, Beaumont St, Hamilton, on Tuesday 18th March, starting at 6.30 p.m.

This will be Arthur's second appearance at Politics in the Pub in Newcastle over the past year and he will be going head to head with candidates from other political parties in the lead up to the NSW State Election on Saturday 22nd March.

ACE will be talking about the Democrats position on the War on Iraq, the environment, social justice, law & order and economic development in the Hunter.

"Independent electoral research by Anthony Green indicates that the Democrats will still get at least one extra seat in the Upper House.

"Regardless of what the main stream media thinks, the Democrats are far from dead. We have done a lot for the people of NSW, much more than any other minor party, and the Democrats will continue to be the most progressive political party in the areas of social justice, the environment and economic development." he said.
