Announcing the NSW Team

To Investigate Forced Organ Harvesting in China

Where:       Level 6, Media Conference Room, NSW Parliament

“We are committed to see that the recommendations made in the Matas-Kilgour Report being effectively implemented.” Phil Glendenning, Director of the Edmund Rice Centre, Leader of the first NSW investigation team. “We call on the PRC government and governments of the world to take these recommendations seriously, they are constructive and practical. We are contacting the Sydney Chinese Consulate regarding arrangements for open access to detention facilities and hospitals.  More investigation teams are being formed here and abroad as we speak.

“Amnesty International has appealed to the Chinese authorities to stop the campaign of persecution of Falun Gong, including by releasing all those detained solely on account of their peaceful religious or spiritual beliefs and practices”

"We support human rights and are very concerned at these allegations that people would be executed for their organs to be sold.  We support the idea that an investigation team should find out about this situation”. Said Dr Arthur Chesterfield-Evans MLC NSW Parliamentary Leader of Australian Democrats.
