NSW Pub Landlords Protest Parliament House  

 Over 100 Country and Suburban Hoteliers and their supporters will hold a rally this Tuesday to protest against the removal of poker machine entitlements by lessees who have leases drafted prior to the Gaming Machine Amendment Act 2001. 

 Over 60 country and suburban hotels have closed down due the State government lack of action and owners are calling on the Government to place a stay of proceedings where no disputed poker machine transfers can be authorised by the Liquor Administration Board and reinstate poker machines back into hotels that have been stripped by hostile tenants.

 
Date: Tuesday, 16th January 2007

Time: 12 noon

Where: Macquarie Street entrance of Parliament House then move on to Governor Macquarie Tower.

 
Former Minister for Gaming and Racing, Mr Richard Face, will be attending and offered his full support. Mr Face believes that the full intention of the current legislation is not been carried out and will be available for comment.
